What is Projection Mapping?

Projection Mapping is the art of using light to project an image onto 3D objects and surfaces to create interactive displays known academically as “spatial augmented reality” and “video mapping”. The technique is used to create optical illusions, add extra dimensions and suggest the movement of previously static objects. Projection mapping is usually combined with or triggered by music and sound effects to create audiovisual experiences.

Projection mapping is the perfect tool for elevating live concerts, dynamic decor, elevated theater performances, advertising and creating holograms. Primarily used for nightclubs, stage performances, immersive art installations, festivals, special occasions such as outdoor events and festivals.
